Claire (Faucett) Sakaoka, Owner
Claire has over 18 years of experience in public relations, marketing and digital media management. She is a strategic and collaborative leader who excels in facilitating and creating mission-focused initiatives that strengthen the whole of the organization. She is a thought-leader in the areas of website marketing strategy and development, social media and online communication and branding.
In addition to her work at engage5w, Claire serves as Vice President of Marketing and Branding for Wiederhold & Associates, a nationwide company that offers executive career coaching, outplacement and transition services to the healthcare industry.
Previously Claire worked as Global Marketing Director for Allen Global Companies where she re-branded and executed an integrated marketing communications and global branding strategy, resulting in six new divisions under the Allen Global Companies umbrella. Prior to that, she served for eight years as Public Relations & Interactive Media Manager for Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. In this role she developed and grew online communications, creating one of the first Chamber of Commerce marketing programs to utilize and integrate the use social media as a viable marketing platform.
Danielle Mellema, Digital Content Manager
With communications experience spanning seven years and four time zones, Danielle Mellema is a content and marketing strategist who is passionate about helping organizations define their mission and communicate it clearly with an audience who shares their values. She specializes in integrating social media to serve organizations’ marketing strategies, market research, and creating effective, focused digital content.
In her time with the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, Danielle guided the organization through the creation of key messages, a visual rebrand, and a cutting-edge website launch, allowing the organization to better educate and inspire people who want to make a difference as leaders in their city. She collaborated with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce to promote state-wide policy initiatives that strengthen Colorado’s businesses, and empower business leaders to shape their community.
Danielle has also conducted market research and built a communications strategy for a mergers and acquisitions firm in Connecticut, executed an integrated social media strategy and rebranding effort for a health clinic in Los Angeles, and cut her communications teeth telling stories of business owners leading the way in business growth and community impact in the Midwest.
Danielle has put down roots in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she lives with her husband, Matt, and three boys under four years old.
